Forever 21 Sizing.

Hello,

On Saturday I went on a cheeky little shopping trip and hopped along to Forever 21 that's located in Birmingham's Bullring. I've been there a few times but totally bypassed the clothes and headed to the accessories because I knew being a bigger girl they didn't stock my kind of sizes which is fair enough I have no problems with that. But for a while now Forever 21 have stocked a plus size section on their website, awesome! I have browsed briefly never ordered anything.

So when I went to the shop on Saturday we asked two of the lovely ladies that worked there where the 'plus size' section was, they didn't know anything about it. But their next comment left me flabbergasted they told me they only stock sizes up to 12/14?!

SAY WHAT?!

So after a little research online Forever 21 class size 16+ as 'Plus Size' surely this is a mistake?! The average woman is from a size 12 to 18. But if you are anything above a size 14 be prepared to be classed as plus size from Forever 21 and if you go into the actual shop good luck trying to find something because you will be walking away empty handed.

I think this is disgusting, this kind of sizing doesn't affect my life because I will never be a size 14 or lower, but what kind of message is Forever 21 sending out to vulnerable people, young and old alike. Airbrushed photos in gossip magazines is one thing, but a well established company like Forever 21 is just another can of worms.

So for all you so called 'plus size' girls (14/16+) I wouldn't even bother your arse with Forever 21 because I personally think this is disgusting. And hopefully I would love for them to see this so we could hear what they have to say.

What are your thoughts on this?

Welcome.

Hello!

So some of you may know me from Ditzymakeup.com but I wanted to create this blog to show and share with you all a different part of my life. Sadly my life isn't all about make-up and beauty I wish it was!. I'm just a regular girl, with a job working with demanding members of the public. And when I do get a few spare minutes I do like to blog about pretty things. But now I want to blog about my everyday life about being a fat girl. The name calling, the stereotypes, the chore trying to find pretty clothes and learning to love yourself for the person you are.

So please do join me as I share with you the good times, the bumpy roads and some fat girl tips in The Fat Girl Diaries

Until next time,
Sinead
